Our Story
We spoke exclusively online for a month because we just so happened to match on Bumble right before Gian was planning to take a two week trip to Argentina to visit his sister. We texted, called, and video chatted constantly for his entire time there. Almost inseparable right from the start, even sending messages whenever we could while he flew that long, arduous flight there and back home. It was on October 11th, 2022 that we could not wait any longer and made our relationship official—even before meeting in person!
After he returned home, we finally met and both of us were immensely relieved to discover that the comfort we felt from day one while online, became even more comforting face to face. We went on to spend weekends and weekdays together in person whenever we could. And when we couldn’t be close, we fell asleep on the phone together nearly every night, never wanting to say goodbye.
In January 2023, Gian and I bought our first home together, and on May 5th. 2023 we got engaged! Some might say that our relationship has been fast paced, but the old cliché rings true for us -- when you know, you know. Everyone who meets us can't help but notice how our energies (and weirdness) matches. We truly are the definition of compatibility. Gian and I found a home in each other and are excited to begin these next steps in our lives as husband and wife.
We met one rainy day while taking refuge in a cute book store, we sat across from each other with our noses buried in our favorite books while under dim candlelight--just kidding. We met on a dating app like most millennials these days, Bumble specifically. And interestingly enough, that was an app that I (Sara) rarely ever used. I was mindlessly scrolling through one day and came across a guy with a bio that sounded like it was concocted right out of my wish list, and bonus points that he was also adorable. With an assured swipe, we matched!
Gian was a little skeptical about the validity of my profile at first. "I thought you were a bot, how could you be real?" He told me were his thoughts later on. "Well, I don't look nearly as good as I do in my photos," I retorted while sporting baggy clothes and morning hair. "You do actually," he replied and I smiled. There he went, always making me feel pretty even when I am not feeling my prettiest.
I remember that first night we spoke so clearly. I had no intention of spending more than an hour chatting because I just wasn't in a particularly social mood that day, but once we got started talking I realized right away just how incredible he was. I wanted to learn more about him and the feeling was (thankfully) mutual. So, we both stayed up until well past sunrise and then continued to do so on the many nights that followed, just wanting to have a little more time together.

Wedding Gift
Instead of a registry, we are asking that any wedding gifts be in the form of donations. Even with a private wedding, the expenses were high and so is buying a home and starting a new life. Any support on our new chapter in life is greatly appreciated! <3
